My First Impressions: UpCircle Beauty

My First Impressions: UpCircle Beauty
My First Impressions: UpCircle Beauty
Self-care is so important, especially now given the current situation going on in the world. Which is why today I wanted to share with you a skin and body care range that I have been incorporating into my self-care routine over the past couple of months.

UpCircle Beauty is a natural skin and body care range that elevates leftover natural ingredients, bringing them back to life as beauty products for your skin. Using coffee grounds, brewed chai spices and discarded fruit stones that often end up in landfills. All of their products are vegan, cruelty-free, organic and natural. You can read more about their story here which is quite interesting if you like to know what's going onto your skin.

I was kindly sent a few of these products to try, but since then I have purchased the face and body coffee scrubs myself and decided to give you my first impressions of how I got on with them all.

Grab your cups of tea and enjoy!

Enriched with finely-ground powder of discarded apricot stones, rosemary oil and rich in antioxidant Vitamin E. This everyday cleansing balm is great as a first cleanse to remove the bulk of your makeup, SPF or any oils on the skin. Massage a coin-sized amount between your fingers and onto your face in upward circular motions, then remove with a warm, damp cloth. At first, I found this a little too greasy for my skin, but once I followed up with a water-based cleanser my skin was left feeling so nourished and hydrated! I must admit I haven't reached for this as much as I'd like to, mostly because I find it can be too rich sometimes. I would recommend it to all skin types, but I think it would work specifically well with dry/dehydrated skin types.

I love the smell of coffee just as much as the next person, so of course, a coffee-scented skincare product is going to appeal to me. Enriched with orange oil, rosehip oil and lemon verbena, this coffee face scrub is formulated for dehydrated skins. Not that I suffer from dehydration in the skin, but this product has many other benefits that help reduce anti-inflammatory and treat spots. For a face scrub, I had expected my skin to react badly to it, but it surprisingly didn't. This scrub is so refreshing and soothing on the skin, it doesn't feel harsh at all. I don't know if it has helped reduce any spots or redness my skin occasionally suffers with, but it definitely has helped remove dead skin cells and has given my skin that plump-feel without being too harsh. They also sell a few other coffee face scrubs in different flavours if citrus doesn't appeal to you.

I absolutely loved this concept! This is a great way to experiment with the products from the 'best sellers' range that you are considering buying in full size. This would make a cute Christmas present, yes I mentioned that C-word. Or they make a great travel-friendly product, not that we get much of that nowadays. This set includes a face scrub, face serum, face balm, moisturiser, face mask, eye cream, face toner and body cream. The ultimate self-care little kit. It was actually the face scrub in this kit, that made me purchase the full-sized product believe it or not. So it's definitely worth purchasing if there are a few products you are looking to buy.

I definitely got sucked into buying this because of the packaging, it is so eye-catching! This coffee body scrub is enriched with sea salt, grapefruit and coconut oil. It helps buff away dry, dead skin cells to leave you feeling soft, smooth and refreshed. I actually really enjoy using this body product, it's not often I enjoy body products, I have mentioned this before but I find them such a chore and a hassle. This scrub for starters smells amazing - very refreshing and subtly sweet. It moisturisers the skin so thoroughly which will be great in winter! It is also really good at removing random patches of false tan. Overall if you are looking for a hydrating but not harsh body scrub that can help remove even tough tans, definitely try this.

Overall, I would definitely recommend trying some of this range out. It's not difficult to find either, I know BeautyBay and FeelUnique now stock some of the range, but I've also spotted it in Sainsbury's or Holland&Barratts. I am tempted to try the face mask for spot-prone skin next if anyone has tried it let me know.

  2. Ohh it's great they used ingredients that would have been thrown away! Does this mean their products could vary slightly?
